Each year we plan an NDI Summer Fun Day to conduct an annual team strategy meeting and to spend some quality time together in some just-for-fun activities.

Summer Fun Day 2008 kicked off with our planning meeting at the very pink Breakfast Club. Carol began the meeting with a discussion on our purpose: using "design thinking" to drive organizational success and how we do this by balancing strategy, processes, metrics, people and culture. Other presentations were creatively presented including: The NDI Office Cleanse (complete with stinging bee cleaning mascot pins), NDI best practices, The NDI "Finer Things Club" (marketing, design and culture book group), and NDI custom designed products web site (coasters, clocks, bookplates).

Next we headed to the south side for a Croatian Festival and then a visit to the Zhou B Art Center to see the internationally acclaimed work of the Zhou brothers.

The highlight of the day was the Chicago Air and Water Show capped off with a sit down and refreshing beverage at the Café Braur in Lincoln Park.
