ABPANC wanted to raise awareness of their CPAN® and CAPA® Certification designation with nurses, hospital administrators and the general public. To do that they also need to raise awareness of ABPANC. NDI redesigned ABPANC’s logo to feature a star rising within a circle. The circle symbolizes a continuous process, inclusion and unity. The star represents the certified nurse elevating her skills. It also gives the impression of ABPANC rising on a horizon– a powerful symbol of advancement and achievement. NDI redesigned all of ABPANC's certification materials to be warm, inviting and easy to understand in order to demystify the certification process and make it less intimidating.

Since 1988, the DeWitt Wallace-Reader's Digest Fund has spearheaded a nationwide effort to revitalize elementary and middle school libraries and make them the center of teaching and learning. Library Power provides for the physical renovation of library space, purchase of new books and other materials to update collections, and ongoing staff development for teachers, librarians and administrators. NDI designed this book to document the experiences of schools across the country that are demonstrating the difference a Library Power Program can make in the lives of young people. Rich black & white documentary style photos taken by Lesli Slavin are paired with transparent cover sheets reporting on each program.
With the many critical and complex policy issues raised by the “information superhighway” libraries must take an active role in protecting the public’s interest in information technology. The American Library Association supports libraries and librarians in that role. GOAL 2000 positioned ALA and librarianship to be as closely associated with the public’s right to a free and open information society as it is with the idea of intellectual freedom. NDI designed the brochure using information graphics to simplify the complexity of the eleven divisions of ALA and made membership benefits (which are often invisible) more tangible.
