AAPF Annual Report 2017 - We Rise by Lifting others

The mission of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation (AAPF) is to improve the periodontal health of the public through increasing public and professional knowledge of periodontal diseases, stimulating research to generate new knowledge, and enhancing educational programs in periodontal education and practice.

With this annual report design, NeigerDesign pays homage to the all-important work done by both the funders and award recipients as game changers to advance the periodontal specialty. This attention-grabbing concept takes its inspiration from a type of printing methodology known as an Agamograph, which uses lenticular printing to present radically different images, depending on the angle from which it is viewed.  It pays tribute to the requisite duality—support and research/education—needed in order to advance the profession. Although the cover image is viewed as a single message, when the viewer takes the initiative of pulling the tab at the top (metaphor for involvement and support), that person changes the image—as it becomes a fuller, more colorful one.
